With development in last decade, China Tobacco Import and Export Yunnan Corporation, adhering to the princle of "regarding service as the supreme and exploring international market by establishing high business credit", has made great contributions to the growth of Yunnan tobacco industry. Presently, CTIE YUNNAN is one of the national top 500 export enterprises and a major foreign-exchange earner in Yunnan Province.

In 1993, Team Success (Pacific) Co.Ltd., the first overseas branch of CTIE YUNNAN was set up in Hong Kong. Yunnan Yunhui Transport Service Co. Ltd., the first joint ventrue dealing in transportation in Yunnan, was co-invested by CTIE YUNNAN and a HongKong compoany in 1994. Moreover, Tal fook chong industrial (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of CTIE YUNNAN, was set up at the bonded area of Futian in Shenzhen. The company mainly undertakes the business of warehouse and storage. CTIE YUNNAN has also set up non-tobacco business companies, offices and hotel management in Beihai, Ruili and Kunming. In 1996, Team Success (Pacific) Co.Ltd., a joint venture by CTIE YUNNAN and Myanmar Hongguang IMP. &EXP Trading Co. Ltd., wsa established in Yangon, Myanmar. Its function is to promote marketing in adjacent couirtries by following market trends, developing proper customers and strengthening market administration. In addition, it also involves in other businesses such as import and export of other industrisl products, real estate, tourism, food and beverage industries.

In a view to increase economic strength and achieve sustained development, CTIE YUNNAN has set up Yunnan Tobacco Baoshan Oriental Tobacco Co. Ltd., which is a diversified establishment integrating science, industry, agriculture and trade with economy as the link. It completes the entire process of trade from production and Processing to storage and marketing. As an export-oriented oriental tobacco base, the output of the company reaches 5,000 tons annually. The processing line with the production capacity of 3,000kg/hour has been built and put into operation.
